About BioSTART BioSTART is a new Program by BioInnovation Greece aimed at supporting early-stage biotech innovation emerging from academic labs in Greece. The program seeks to provide proof-of-concept funding, entrepreneurial training, and access to industry and investment networks, bridging the gap between research and real-world application. Goals of this strategy meeting This strategy meeting is convened to collaboratively shape the launch and strategic direction of the BioSTART Program. Specifically, today's goals are to: Present the core vision, framework, and objectives of BioSTART. Gather expert input and feedback on the program’s design, with a focus on key implementation pillars. Identify structural gaps, priority needs, and potential contributions from stakeholders across sectors. Co-develop actionable ideas for proof-of-concept support, IP strategy, talent development, and sustainable funding models. Strengthen alignment among key partners from academia, industry, government, and investment communities as we prepare for the program’s formal launch. This is a working session: all participants are invited to contribute ideas, raise questions, and help shape BioSTART into a nationally impactful and internationally competitive platform for biotech innovation in Greece.
