BioInnovation Greece meets Silicon Valley Greek BioHub

A warm thank you to the Silicon Valley Greek BioHub Meetup, hosted at Bakar Bio Labs, for an inspiring evening focused on the powerful potential of connecting Greece’s scientific talent and research excellence with the global biotech innovation landscape.

During the event, Nikos Kyrpides, co-founder of BioInnovation Greece (BiG), shared BiG’s mission to foster a thriving biotech ecosystem in Greece—driven by cross-sector collaboration and active engagement of the Greek scientific diaspora.

We were especially proud to see Dr. Leda (Λήδα) Kourita, MD, DCH, MRCPCH, BerkeleyHaas EMBA , a core BiG member, co-organize the event together with Fay Christodoulou PhD, CMT, Maria Mirotsou, and Maria-Nefeli Tsaloglou, PhD —all champions of Greece’s scientific community abroad.

The evening featured a keynote by Simos Simeonidis, PhD, MBA of Kos Biotechnology Partners —a valued supporter of BioInnovation Greece and passionate advocate for advancing biotech with deep ties to Greece.
